We once again welcome a new year and new resolutions. The new year brings thoughts of new goals and aspirations. For the PROS board members we enjoy this time of year because this is when we prepare a fresh agenda for the spring and fall brunch meetings. Within the last year I have been approached by ophthalmic technicians asking,
“How can I obtain CME credits because I need to re-certify soon?” My response is always: join PROS!
The Philadelphia Regional Ophthalmic Society consistently gives regional ophthalmic technicians a vehicle to obtain CME credits and network with our peers throughout the tri-state area. As always this year Wills Eye Conference has an interesting and diverse lecture agenda.
The Friday administrator’s lectures always have current topics that are very informative. Keep in mind, attendance at the annual Wills meeting and two PROS brunch meetings will fulfill a majority of the CME credits for re-certification.
I am proud to announce that this year we awarded two PROS members with scholarships to use for certification. We are always looking to increase membership, please contact us if you would like to become a board member.
For 2017 let’s make this the year to conquer our resolutions and broaden our horizons. I hope to see you at the meetings and please bring your colleagues.
