Part-time Ophthalmic Technician
The Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children, Nemours Foundation located in Wilmington, Del. is currently seeking an ophthalmic technician to assist four pediatric ophthalmologists in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art patient care center. The ideal candidate will be able to perform visual field testing with both Humphrey and Goldmann systems, detailed patient history, lensometry, visual acuity testing, color vision screening, and stereopsis testing. Computer skills and a positive attitude are necessary. The care center environment is education friendly with a superior opportunity for personal growth. The applicant should possess good communication skills. JCAHPO certification and prior technical experience is preferred. High school diploma/ G.E.D. is required.

Eye Tech Position Available
Qualifications: Hard working, conscientious, cooperative, and honest candidate with experience as an ophthalmic technician.  COMT, COT, or COA certified preferred but not mandatory for consideration. Skills needed include: ability to ascertain thorough history, able to take visions, perform refractions, check pupillary responses, perform applanation tonometry, perform basic slit lamp exam, and ability to dilate patient. Candidates should be experienced in automated and manual visual fields. Experience in corneal topography testing, HRT, OCT, and anterior segment and fundus photography are desired skills but not mandatory.  Training on such equipment can be provided as needed.
