Ophthalmic Technician
Fast-paced ophthalmology practice in King of Prussia is looking to add to its current clinical staff. Seeking part-time or full-time energetic, experienced ophthalmic technician. Duties to include patient workups, refracting, tonometry, OCT, VF, fundus photography, corneal topography, IOL Master, immersion ascans, scribing, and assisting the doctors in minor surgeries. Certification, ability to use a slit lamp and contact lens fitting experience a definite plus. The position includes one to two evenings per week and no weekends. Practice Marketing and Social Media Management
Thorp Bailey Weber, a busy and growing ophthalmic practice located in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. has created an exciting new position! If you are interested in using your skills to help grow our practice by engaging current and future patients, this role is for you! In this role you will: manage our website in partnership with our web consultant, establish and maintain social media sites, develop, implement and manage marketing programs targeting select organizations in support of our growth strategy, interact with patients to gauge satisfaction, ensure ongoing care, and strengthen patient retention, expand patient knowledge through exposure to the patient portal and ongoing messaging, and manage patient email communication. To be successful in this role you will have: some ophthalmic technical, medical assistant or LPN background, knowledge of internet and social media as marketing tools, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong desktop skills in all typical PC applications including a database, strong administrative skills enabling effective project management and the ability to balance several initiatives simultaneously, and elf confidence and ease in establishing new relationships, leading projects with outside vendors, and conversing with patients. This is initially a part-time position (25 hours weekly) with the potential to become full-time. Some remote work may be possible after an initial training and orientation.
