Ophthalmic Photographer
The Penn State Hershey Medical Center is looking to fill a full-time ophthalmic photographer vacancy. Located in central Pennsylvania, the Hershey area offers a rural environment in close proximity to Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Washington, D.C., and beaches. Responsible for coordinating and providing diagnostic imaging services for clinical diagnosis and documentation, ophthalmic procedures, surgery, and research. Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge with 3 - 5 years of related experience required. Certification as a Retinal Photographer (CRA) required. Optical Coherence Tomographer-Certified preferred. Certification for Diabetic Retinopathy Study Type clinical research protocols preferred. Ophthalmology Technicians
Penn State Hershey Medical Center is a 501-bed Level I regional trauma center located in Hershey, Pa. We are looking to fill five ophthalmology technician positions to join our staff! This position is responsible for performing diagnostic tests to include visual fields and ultrasonography, and providing support to ophthalmologist for clinical activity. Interested candidates must meet the minimum requirements of a high school diploma or GED AND two years of experience in an ophthalmology practice. Ideally we would prefer that candidates have an associate’s degree or equivalent knowledge and JCAHPO certification (but these are not required). Ophthalmology Technician/Photographer
Geisinger is seeking a full-time ophthalmology technician/photographer for the Lewisburg Retina Clinic, located in Lewisburg, Pa. The ophthalmology technician/photographer will assist physicians in the care and treatment of patients, providing a broad range of specialized photography services to the Department of Ophthalmology. Major responsibilities include: Performs ophthalmic photography to document pathological findings and conditions; Assists with examinations, procedures, diagnostic studies, treatments and dressings; Administers dilating agents for ophthalmic fundus examination; Screen patients prior to exam; Performs ophthalmic, visual field, and air tension testing, automatic refractors, Retinomax, Keratometry, lenometry, IOL measurements, pachymetry, and corneal topography; Assists physician with minor clinic surgery and preoperative preparation of patients; Assists with laser treatments, performs ultrasound for measuring intraocular lens. Demonstrates skills for OCT fundus camera, fluorescein angiography and other photography equipment. Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in ophthalmic practice preferred.
