Certified Medical Assistant/Scribe
Part-time (10-20 hours per week) certified medical assistant/scribe needed for busy solo ophthalmology practice with offices in Lankenau Hospital and Riddle Hospital. Primary duties include taking patient histories, initial patient screenings and scribing. Excellent listening, typing, spelling, and grammar skills required. Must have a positive attitude and be interested in learning. Candidates must be friendly and reliable and have excellent interpersonal skills. Must be energetic, punctual, organized, and able to work well as part of a team to deliver excellent patient care. Hours include some evenings until 7 p.m. and every other Saturday.

Part-time Ophthalmic Technician Ė Philadelphia Retina Associates
Part-time position is available at our established retina practice. Technician will be responsible for: performing pre-exam workups and diagnostics; recording patient history, evaluating intraocular pressure using Goldmann applanation tonometry as well as with Tonopen, performing a slit lamp exam of the anterior segment, taking manual blood pressure measurements, testing the patientís pupillary response, ocular motility, confrontation visual fields, and visual acuity; conducting various ophthalmic photography/imaging including OCTs, Fundus Photos, IVFAs and B-scans. In addition, a qualified applicant will assist with various in-office procedures by setting up sterile injection trays, preparing patients for intravitreal injections or laser treatments, and applying drops to anesthetize the eye. It is preferred that applicants have at least one year experience in an ophthalmology or optometry practice and be proficient in the usage and care of applicable medical instruments. Minimal travel to satellite offices will be required.
