PROS' basic objective is to assist our members in upgrading their skills and making continuing education readily available.

In addition to presenting lectures and workshops for continuing education, PROS has become a primary resource for information regarding educational programs and certification. We hope to promote awareness in the ophthalmic community of the role and skills of allied health personnel and to encourage additional training and certification for all ophthalmic personnel.

Our administrative division provides a vital link between administrative and technical staff members. Our administrative programs provide information on a variety of financial and management issues in addition to networking opportunities.

Through quarterly newsletters, we keep our members informed of items of interest and job openings.

• PROS is an organization that provides continuing education for ophthalmic personnel. Membership is open to anyone interested in any related eye care field.
  
• Meetings are held each month from September to May in the auditorium of Wills Eye Hospital, 9th and Walnut streets, Philadelphia, PA, 19107. Meeting dates and topics may be obtained by contacting one of the officers.
  
• Hands-on workshops are given periodically on a variety of topics. Past workshops have included A-scan, Visual Fields, and Retinoscopy.
  
• All technical meetings and workshops are approved for JCAHPO continuing education credit on a 1:1 basis.
